It was just drizzling rain all day, and it was so gorgeous. I was walking to class and just admiring the sheer beauty of the rain falling so lightly like that. It was just one of those moments.
Gahhh Rendezvous, you are going to be the end of me! Damn you for being so delicious! I wasn't going to go anymore this week, but Brianna wanted someone to go with her, and Madison and Natalie were both busy, so I went. And dammit, all my pain and suffering for the past few weeks to drop those pounds ... !
We had (root) Beer Fest for Monday Fun Day! It really wasn't that exciting lol. It was basically just a lot of beer pong competitions (and that girl was actually really good lol; some experienced players we have here!), and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even root beer that they used, just like sprite or something lol. Anyhow, I found the guys next door and went and talked to them for a bit like last week, and then we were all kind of bored, so I asked them if they had any games.
Now by games, I was kind of thinking Wii or Xbox, but hey, obscure Chinese card games work too! Hahaha. Apparently Peter brought this intense Chinese card game and he had been teaching his roommates how to play and he taught me. It's kind of complicated, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun! I felt like a total nerd afterwards though, like I'm one of those characters out of YuGiOh or something hahaha.
Peter, Steven, Nouk (like, nuke lol), Taegun, Shafene. I'm sure I'm butchering the spelling but whatever lol. Afterwards, Shafene taught the other guys how to play Kent, and then I asked him to call it Kemps for obvious reasons hah. And I really had fun! This living situation may not have been what I imagined, and it may be lacking the social aspect that the halls have, but this is just as good. I love how I can just hang out and play cards with them and then step out and literally walk right into our room and go to sleep. I've definitely always wanted something like that out of college, and I can tell this is going to be a good year. I guess I did freak out too much in advance about friends and such hah. Today was a good day. ♥
