Natalie and Madison wanted to go look for classes today, so I tagged along, partly because I was barely even paying attention when I went with Ken the other day lol. Everything seemed a lot closer this time since I had the map and more experience with all the walking. The buildings were open this time too, so we actually got to walk inside and check out the classrooms and lecture halls!
It took us forever to find this! This is the lecture hall for our Chem 14A class; we were wandering inside Young Hall for a long time before someone finally pointed us outside. I talked to Ken later and apparently there were signs around that said so too. -.-
We were all pretty much starving afterwards, so we headed over to the Hedrick dining hall for lunch.
I was heading over to Ackerman to buy my last book, and I ran into Ken and Elizabeth on the way, and they were headed in the same direction to Jamba Juice, so we all went together lol.
I decided to try this, since I like pumpkin, and I can totally make a better strawberry smoothie than Jamba Juice. It was pretty good ... at first. Kind of overwhelming after a while. e____e
We went over to the rec center again and met some other people there. I learned how to play ping pong, and it wasn't too hard at all! (8 ... Granted the guy I was playing wasn't going really hard on me lol. This guy with a cast was playing the piano, and he was so good! He could play like, anything! It was really amazing though, because he could totally just on the spot make up pretty music; really amazing.
Afterwards we met up with Natsha and Kameron and went over to check out this sports jamboree thing they had on the field. I guess it's kind of like that club day thing we had two days ago, except for sports and such.
... They have Quidditch LOL! It sounded pretty cool when the guy explained it, but also kind of hilarious. xD Basically all the players run around with a broom between there legs, and there's some cross country guy running around as the snitch hahaha. We actually looked it up later, and it looked kind of stupid, but I still think the concept is pretty cool hahaha.
We all went back to Natsha's room after a while (Jessica joined us there too). It's so weird to see how she's changed since we were friends back in Casimir; she cusses, she drinks, and she's all about sex (see sex period table poster on her ceiling). I mean, I don't think she's like a bad person or anything, and I'm definitely glad we got to catch up, but it's just so strange how different she's become. I guess the people you hang out with really do have a huge impact on the person you become.
Andy called us out to a North dinner, so we went to Hedrick (cuhs De Neve was packed); it was pretty cool because I got to see a lot of people who'd graduated in 2008 that I haven't seen since.
We headed back to Natsha's room afterwards, cuhs I'd left all my stuff there; I was planning on heading back to my dorm around 9pm because they were having the Zeitoun discussion, but I called Madison and they already had it at 5pm (I asked Natalie later and she called it a waste of time, but still)! D8 So I just hung out in their dorm for a while longer; their floor was playing Twister! It's times like these I really wish I lived in a plaza for the socializing. ):
