Jen, Brian, Dinuk, Tony, and I went to the LA Zoo today! Jen came over around 9am, and Brian picked us all up. I was pretty excited since I've never been to a zoo before (Jen kept calling me a deprived child lol). Mom kept saying how it's just a lot of smelly animals and there's not much to it (she was annoyed cuhs she forgot I told her I was going to the zoo and thought I was going to Solvang with them).
There was this advertisement for this gorilla reserve thing, and I thought it was hilarious since according to this, it opened three years ago lol. Attention! This exhibit will open three years ago! Hahaha.

Petting zoo. (8 I kind of wish they had some more, like, exotic animals there, since most of them were just typical farm animals, like goats and sheep. I also wish there was an area where you could ride horses, cuhs I haven't done that in a long time lol.
Jen saw these things and really wanted to sit on them and take a picture. She thought this bar linking the two cows was meant for people to sit and pose on, and I said no, that was to hold the two cows together lol. Either way, she still jumped on it, and I took the picture, and she jumped off before anyone would see her lol.
Timon! We pretty much called all the animals by the names of their cartoon counterparts hahah.

Group awkward flamingo pose! Lol the lady who took the picture didn't even get the flamingos in the background, which is kind of point defeating. Now we just look like a group of idiots hopping on one foot hahaha.
Me: Lol is that poop?Jen: Stupid, that's not poop!

Jen: That's not even where poop comes out from!
LOL oh right that's true.
After a while, we stopped for lunch outside this one fast food restaurant. Everyone brought their lunch, since we didn't want to spend the money here.
We were sitting right across from the lions when they finally got up and started moving around.
... And then they started humping lol. And then all of a sudden you hear them roaring, and the female lion's paw goes right at the male one's face, and it was like a scene straight out of Lion King! Hahaha. Dinuk took some better pictures with his camera so I'll steal some from him when he posts them up.

After lunch I was pretty much exhausted. Food coma, lol. Also, it was just really hot.
We took a lot of breaks by these vending machines and stuff where they were spraying mist.
Kind of reminded me of that Forest Spirit from Princess Mononoke haha.
This guy looks so sad. ): I just want to pick him up and hug up lol.
Brian: It's a mango.LOL that's exactly what I was thinking.
After a while, we finally started heading back to the entrance. We stopped by all these gift shops cuhs Jasmyne wanted a souvenir (but we ended up not getting her anything cuhs one, she didn't respond to a text asking her what animal she wanted, and two, everything was really expensive lol). We stayed in that first shop for a long time cuhs it was air conditioned, and I think the shopkeeper girl was getting annoyed with us playing around and knocking over stuff lol.
One of these monkeys fell from the rack, and Jen put it on a plant hahaha.
Then we headed over to this International Marketplace, which was a lot of gift shops labeled various countries (I think we're in Africa right now lol).
I read Everyone Poops to Brian. It's a really funny book hahaha.
Anyhow, that was my first zoo experience. It definitely wasn't as amazing as the zoos are on tv, and Mom was right, it did smell (although I didn't really mind so much), but I had fun! It was really great hanging out with Jen and these guys. (:
Afterwards, we started heading back; I was squished in the middle of the backseat, and I think I fell asleep sometime after we got on the freeway. When I woke up, we were back in Torrance. (8
We all got some boba at what used to be Tapioca Express lol.
... And then we headed back to Jen's house to play Little Big Planet, watch some tv, and eat Dominos. We took a picture of the pizza, and I need to send it in to them soon, since they have that thing about people taking pictures of their pizza lol.It was a good day. ♥
