324.

Mom, Uncle, & Eva took my aunt to the airport today. ): We'll see her next year, but man. I can't imagine living alone for a year. I'd be too lonely, I think.

It was a really asdf day at work. Started out pretty badly; this lady in the watercise class yelled at me cuhs I told this lady & her kids they could go into the pool for the parent-child class because I saw that the arthritis class was done, and they were just standing around talking in the water. But apparently they're not allowed to go in until all the arthritis people are out because they don't want the moms to trip over the noodles. Which is bullshit if you ask me, but whatever.

And then fast forward a little; there are a couple of people using the kickboards in the shallow end of the open swim, and I remember Art saying it's okay as long as they're using it right last Friday, so I don't do anything. And then Ines comes along and takes the kickboards and gets into an argument with this lady. And then I ask Jaimie and apparently they absolutely cannot have kickboards in the open swim, so wtf Art. And then Ines is kind of annoyed, and we're doing the lane lines. And then she yells something at me from the other end, and I can't quite catch it, and she's exasperated and starts coming over, and tells me to loosen the lanes all the way and now I'm exasperated because I did loosen them all the way and she shouldn't be taking it out on me.

And then later Art's kids come in and start using the fins in the open swim. And I tell them they have to be swimming in the lanes, and the girl goes "Well my Dad said we could be here." So I go ask Art, but he's on the phone so I ask Jaimie, and she says yes, they have to be in the lanes, but Art says his kids get to use them. And you can tell Jaimie's a little peeved and she talks to Art, and then later she pulls me aside and tells me that basically Art's kids are gonna get special treatment just cuhs there's not much we can do about that. And she kept saying "I know you're really frustrated," and I really wasn't; I mean, I only even brought it up because Ines was complaining about it to me before. But whatever, I don't know if this is a good thing that I'm bringing issues like this to their attention, or if I'm getting on Art's bad side because of it.

After work, Andy, Eva, and I went to Office Depot to pick up some school supplies.

... And kids! Right here next to the erasers we have this handy dandy knife set!

And then around 4-ish I met up with Tiffany in Descanso Park because she wanted to go biking. It was hilarious because she had her brother's tiny old bike hahaha. We ended up biking over to Starbucks (I'm pretty sure there's a slight upward slope because it was pretty tiring haha) and just hanging out there for a while.

I just had a dream. Prom was today and we had already broken up, but it was too late for me to find anyone else to go with me. I found you and you were bowling with your friends, and I asked you to come back and take me to prom because you promised. At first you wouldn't do it, and we both cried a little, and then I went to go put on my dress. When I came back, I found you digging in your closet for a dress shirt. God, I miss you.

Thanks Jee. ♥ No one said it was gonna be easy, right?
--
I was driving to work today (I was like five minutes late cuhs I was talking to Jee and I couldn't find parking lol fail) and Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" came on, and I pretty much spent my whole shift singing the one & a half lines of that song that I knew hahaha. And then I came home and ran with that song on repeat. ♥

Anyhow, Ken & Frank were supposed to come over around 4:30ish to play Wii, but many things happened lol.

4:30 - Frank: I just found out I have an eye appointment
Ken: I didn't ask my parents yet and they're not home

5:30 - Ken: Okay I can come. But later. Before 7.
Frank: Okay I'm done with my eye doctor thing.

6:30 - Frank: I won't be there til after 7; my family's eating.
Annie: AHHHH DAMMIT LET'S JUST RESCHEDULE.
Ken: Wth I just got ready. Get dressed, we're getting boba. -.-

Anyway, Ken picked me up (HE DROOOOVE) and we ended up going to Tea Station/that Japanese place where Hiro works for boba lol. When Ken was paying for his lychee drink he asked me for 3 cents, and I pointed at this frog statue thing hahahaha.

Ken picked up Jacob and we all headed over to Frank's house because he has a Wii too lol. Way to resurrect our scrapped plans hahaha.

I brought over Mario Party and we played that Hotel Tycoon level (again, sigh lol) and it actually turned out to be a lot of fun hahaha. We kept screwing each other over. At one point I was aiming for this golden space that took you to a ~happy magical land~ and I was using my slowgo candy to guarantee landing on that space. So I was staring intently on the screen so I could time it perfectly to get a 5, leaning forward, and then Ken taps my hand with his foot AND I GET A FRIGGIN' 3. And then I cried into the couch LOL.

It's okay though, cuhs on the very last turn, Ken was going for this one space with his slowgo candy, and he took precaution and ran behind the couch, and then Jacob and I ran forward and covered the tv screen with my sweater HAHAHA. And omg, there was this one level where you have to clean the Chomp Chomp, and what you do is you grab the wii-mote and just shake it up and down (or side to side), and all the guys were like cracking up and going 'I think we have an advantage over you Annie' LOL sickos! Hahahaha. Also, it was awesome because we all thought Jacob won, but I got all these bonus stars at the end and got first! And then I tried taking a picture of it, but Ken covered the screen and Frank pressed the A button like mad hahaha jerks. ♥

322.

We went to Church today hahah. It wasn't too bad; I managed to pay attention for the most part without drawing hahah.

Afterwards we went to Costco & Sams (because we didn't find everything we wanted at Costco) because Mom cooked New York steaks on Friday and they were delicious and we wanted more hahah. There was this Korean BBQ booth giving out free samples; I was kind of bummed because I was lined behind Uncle and Eva, and they both asked the girl to give them samples of two of the three, but when I came up, a new guy came up and only gave me one. D: Lol whatever.

... It wasn't as good because it was rib eye. x: I spent so much time trying to chew it hahah.

We all went out for pho later. I really like this drink, but I wish I could get it without the pink jelly. The description says it's "tropical coconut milk", but I'm too chicken to get "young coconut juice" because the names are different hahah. One of these days.

I went to work today and there was a ladybug on my car. Good luck sign perhaps?

After work Julie picked me up for another yogurt run.

After we finished the yogurt we ended up driving around all these places cuhs we had nothing to do lol. I saw this shirt at Urban Outfitters while we stopped at Del Amo lol.

... And then we stopped by Target cuhs she wanted to grab some nail polish. Our last stop was Descanso Park to sit on the swings. She called Christian Rossi to hang out with us cuhs we were so clueless as to what to do, but Mom called me home shortly afterwards. Anyhow, note to self, no more yogurt runs with Julie for a while hahah. We were just kind of talking shit and it totally backfired and made me miss him more because I can't help but defend him.

Mom, Dan, & me + the relatives went on the bus in Wilson Park to the Hollywood Bowl. Apparently Mom got us some tickets to some concert because my aunt has to go back to China soon. There was this father and his son who were the last ones to board so they had to get separate seats; the son didn't know what they were going to see, so the ladies sitting next to him wouldn't tell him to keep it a surprise hahah.

John Williams! The place was packed! Apparently every ticket was sold out, and I've been here a couple of times, and I've never seen it so full! All our tickets were scattered too cuhs we couldn't get any seats together. I was just one row down from Mom though.

It was really good! I still can't get over how these orchestras sound like the music you hear from movies and the radio. It was great cuhs they had all these clips from movies playing on the huge screens, so I kind of got an idea of these classics that I've never seen before. The first one was Sunset Boulevard, and what a creepy way to kick off the night! You know, I've always wondered where that scared-horrified violin-y track originated from, and apparently it's from Psycho! I've never seen that film either, but the clips were plenty creepy haha.

It was crazy; there was this violin soloist named Bing (I thought of Joy Luck Club lol) and Mom knew her! Apparently they went to the same music school, and while she didn't know her personally, I still think that's pretty insane. She said Bing was pretty famous even when she was in school because she was so good.

When they started playing the Star Wars theme, the whole audience lit up their lightsabers! Hahaha it was amazing. Seriously, I live for moments like these.

It took us such a long time to get out of the area after the show was over, because I guess something happened at one of the exits and they closed it off. We got on the last bus back to Torrance, and it was pretty empty. I fell asleep and when I woke up again we were pulling into Wilson Park.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say I really like going to these concerts. I always forget that I do because I hate the thought of driving back and forth for two hours, but I do always manage to have a good time. (:

32O.

I finished it!

I NEUTERED THE ZEBRA LOL.

I arrived at work and Art said that they had just finished this potluck for Ella & Ziggy, two watercise instructors who are leaving (I don't know who Ella is, but I think Ziggy's the old guy), so he told us to grab some food. I went over and all that was left was some wraps, cookies, and fruit haha, so I grabbed some wraps and cookies for me and Josh. Also, later on Art brought out this weird fountain thing, and he was messing around with it, and at first I thought he meant it was supposed to be a drinking fountain (which I found odd, because it looked ... weird), but it's one of those spewing-water fountains lol. Anyway, he threw it in the pool, and it started spewing water and everyone was like yay.

LOL goddammit, I thought we were doing a funny picture.

We came back from picking up some Papa John's, and Tiffany and I went straight into the playroom, because apparently Jen's family had guests that we didn't know they would have, so we went in there, and Jen just ... never came. So we just waited for her in there, and we didn't eat cuhs that might be rude. And so half an hour passed, and we peeked outside and their guests were teaching her some stuff on the computer. D8

Anyway, she finally came in, and we watched my 10 Things I Hate About You dvd. It wasn't as great as all the reviews and stuff made it sound. :\ The only upside for me was seeing Joseph Gordon-Levitt when he was younger. He looked like a puppyyyy. I think Tiffany liked it though.

Her mom brought us some cupcakes towards the end, and I grabbed the carrot cake. I couldn't finish it though cuhs the frosting tasted weird lol. Anyway, I'm really gonna miss Jen. You know when I was little, I used to wish she were girlier so I would have that best friend who I could talk hair and makeup and boys with. But I love our sense of humor and how we can play videogames all day and how easygoing our friendship is. I'm glad she's coming back on the weekends. (:

I overslept a little and was an hour late to volunteer for Dr. Mao (I was actually hoping Mom would forget or something, or at least let it slide and I wouldn't have to go, but no luck). Andy went too, to work on his research (... on his own laptop. So I don't really see the point of him going at all.) but he only stayed for an hour. Which seemed really pointless lol. Anyhow, Dr. Mao made me do something different; I was basically just querying a lot of the cases and making notes on if the cases were missing the chest or aorta files. It was really easy. (8

We went to the Plunge afterwards, and I saw Alvin again (this time I waved hi, though mostly because he was by the register and there's no way I could've played it off; I'm not rude, just slightly anti-social hahah). He got dark as hell hahaha.

I was planning on working on Jen's scrapbook all day today after coming home, but after I ate lunch (Mom made curry 8D), I had my food coma as usual. And before I fell asleep I painted my nails lol. Julie's nails were painted white the day we went out for yogurt, and I thought it looked really nice. Not quite as nice on me, plus I'm really messy with painting my nails lol.

I am super super proud of this page, the palm tree especially, because it's so pieced together. It makes me think of Little Big Planet and its shark costume, which, if you look closely, is a lot of different blue-colored patterns. I ended up finishing eleven or so pages today, which is pretty impressive if I do say so myself. (8 Mom wanted to sleep so I called it quits around 2am though lol.

I saw this on Lae-an's tumblr and I really liked it.

When you come to the edge of all that you know, you must believe one of two things: either there will be ground to stand on, or you will be given wings to fly.
The Summer King” by O.R. Melling

I stayed up til almost 4am watching Little Women with Mom last night, and it's strange how all these old films I remember being so great now seem so rushed and lack so much depth. Anyhow, I remember being really disappointed with the book's ending (and even moreso with the film because of who they cast for Professor Bhaer; I was hoping he'd at least be ruggedly handsome in some subtle way or something D:) because Laurie marries Amy. I am such a Laurie/Jo shipper. Or maybe I just need to reread the book because I didn't pick up on the meant-to-be nature of their relationship back then. ... And if you haven't read Little Women and I just spoiled it for you, well. Were you really gonna read it anyway?

I went swimming with Andy and Uncle at the plunge today (which took the place of running for the day). We ended up getting into a huge fight afterwards because Mom gave Andy $20 for lunch ($10 for him and $10 for me), and that fatass went over his limit. Technically I would've still had enough for my Subway + avocado, but I did the math wrong in my head (but that is beside the point here!)

I went ahead and made that cd. I was thinking about making it and dropping it off in the mailbox the day before I leave for college because that seemed cool, but that is exactly the kind of over-dramatic-daydreamy crap I like to pull that never turns out the way I want it to. Besides, the idea excited me and I couldn't wait the thirty days.

I tend to subconsciously fantasize about the way something will work out, and because I'm always overly idealistic, things never work out as I hope because I can't account for other people's actions or whereabouts. Like in middle school dances, I'd always expect my crush to suddenly confess his undeniable attraction to me and whisk me off for a slow dance. So it always feels a little surreal when things go exactly as I plan or, as in this case, even better than I expected.

I drove over to Target to get my pictures printed; Ken wouldn't go with me cuhs he said he was going running (-.-), which I guess is just as well because it ended up taking a long time. There were two computers you could use; one of them was being used so I went to the other. I spent about ten minutes trying to figure out why the computer set a 50 picture limit on me when the sign up there surely implied I could print all 155. And then I asked this black lady who worked there, and apparently only the computer on the left side (the one that was already in use) could print 50+. So I waited in line behind the lady using it. And I ended up literally standing there for over 30 minutes. (I mean, the lady apologized for it taking so long, but still.)

... And then that same lady continues to screw me over. I arrived just before 6:45pm (which was my pick-up time) to grab my pictures, but the guy working there informed me that my pictures weren't done yet because there was this massive order placed just before mine. And I was like GODDAMMIT LADY. Mentally, of course, but still. So he told me to come back in 15 minutes, so I walked around and picked up a few items. After 15 minutes they still weren't done. |: So I just stood there for another 15 minutes, fiddling with the game demos on my phone until they were. The guy apologized for the wait, and showed me how many pictures the lady had ordered, and there were like 5 fat envelope-box thingies!

Anyhow, I got started on Jen's scrapbook a bit. I really wish I hadn't waited til the last two days to get started lol.

I was mentioning to Mom about how I had all these pictures now but I couldn't post them back on my wall in my old room, so she told me to just post them on the wall in this room. It's a little disappointing to be starting over on a blank wall because I'm really proud of that little collage back on my old wall and it represents a lot to me. I put up that picture of us at that first Welcome Back assembly because I couldn't bear to cut it up and mess it up for the sake of the scrapbook, plus Aaron Johnson in Kick-Ass because, well, you know. ♥

317.

I came back from work (at 3pm, since Ines asked me to stay another hour for her) and rummaged the fridge for that Arizona Andy got me yesterday ... and it was gone. Because that fatass drank it already. |: But apparently he bought a couple of other cans so I grabbed this one lol.

Anyhow, I went running again. Not because I want to feel pain or anything emo like that again lol. It's more about being comfortable in the skin I'm in. I want to lose weight. I want to get tanner (just a little lol). It's kind of funny how every summer I kind of get this breakthrough moment. I'm going to be optimistic now. Maybe this break up was a good thing. It's motivated me to cut my hair, hang out with friends more, and start working out again. ... Or maybe it's the other way around, and I'm just super optimistic because of the endorphins hahah. Either way, I'm going to try to be more positive about things. I take back what I said in that note a few days ago. I'm not saying I'm suddenly gonna be over it. I'm just saying ... it's gonna be okay now.

I called Billy to go running with me, but he didn't pick up or respond until after I left, but I went biking alongside him as he ran afterwards lol.

There was this lady rushing ahead of us when we were walking. And she seemed so out of place somehow, with her bright pink dress. And then the bus passed us, and she started running and waving her hand after it. I started to feel bad for her, but the bus waited for her anyhow.

After dinner, I compiled all of the pictures I wanted to print onto a cd, and Mom and I went to Target to bring them to their photo center. ... Except the lady there informed us that the center closed at 7:30pm. Which was a little wth for me, cuhs I checked online and I'm so sure it said 11pm (or maybe that was when the whole store closes but whatever). Anyhow, we started looking at sheets and bedding, because I'm leaving in a month (! 8D) Mom kept asking me if I wanted these pink sheets. Like. Really pink. And if not pink, then purple. And then she asked if I was a lesbian because I like stereotypically boyish colors. |:
