Mom's been bugging me about going to Harbor-UCLA for a while now (I've been trying to put it off actually), and yesterday she made a call to Dr. Gao saying I'd come in today. xP Mom couldn't drive me over this morning, so I mapquest`d it, but then I also got some directions from Mom, so I listened to her over the mapquest, naturally. But I guess I didn't hear the end of her directions, cuhs I just followed what the mapquest said, and ended up at the main hospital instead of the research buildings. e______e
Anyhow, I was able to get my badge right away today since I don't need a work permit anymore. I guess their printer smeared the image though, so now I have a unibrow. |:Dr. Mao had me work with this girl he called "Ewa," and I was like "... Huh, that's an unusual name." And then later I realized that was the tree-god-thing in Avatar lololol. But yeah, it turns out her name is Eva lol. Anyhow, he had her show me what to do, which I essentially remembered from last year, but the refresher was nice. An hour or so in, this other guy came (apparently they all know each other), and she called him Lawrence. And I looked at him and he looked really familiar. And then he says "Hey, I know you." And then I realize it's that guy I worked with for a few days last year lol. Don't suppose there's any chance I'll see Luan around this year? Lol.
So about an hour or so before my time's up at Harbor-UCLA Mom calls me.Her: Your AP scores came in the mail!
Me: Oh! 8D Don't open it! (Cuhs I wanted to be the first one to see the scores)
Her: Too late!
Me: ... -____-
I'm pretty happy with what I got overall, especially the two fives in Calc and English. n___n I am so proud of myself for the four in Physics though! I totally thought I was getting a 3 at best. The two in Econ can't be helped haha. But omgggg. Biggest disappointment has to be the four in Enviro. I totally got lazy towards the end of the year, plus I messed up so badly with the FRQ. My bad, Estabrook. D:
I FINISHED DURARARA! (`8 I actually really liked this series! I kind of wished the ending were a bit more conclusive (ie: Izaya dies. Or something.) but I suppose it's more suiting to the series if it's left open-ended. And then I looked for a new series to watch, and tried The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but it was so confusing, cuhs there's these two other spin-offs, and then an episode 0, and yeah. e____e; I'll get to the actual series at some point, but I'm not too keen on the drawing style.
We went to this swim outlet place cuhs Uncle wanted Speedo shorts (they ended up not having his size though). Andy said this place was the cheapest, but everything was still at least $30; still cheaper online.
And then we went to Del Amo and browsed around. We didn't actually really go into too many places besides Macys, since you pretty much have to go through there. Uncle kept looking at suitcases for some reason, and Eva kept looking at makeup and bags. And my aunt kept saying how much cheaper everything is here than in China. And I kept thinking "... Well crap, cuhs Mom and I wanted to visit China to go shopping."
