Kent and I went to the Black Box at lunch to watch the match between Ken's team and Sandi's team, and omg, my mind was blown.
Sandi's team was amazing (except for Tiffany Tran; she did like nothing lol). Brandon Yee is a beast! Seriously, he was so fast, and he answered everything, and all of this is all the more impressive, considering the fact that he is a
freshman! The other guy, Zach (second from the left), was amazing with sports; he literally got every sports question, and extremely fast too. Sandi got fewer questions, but she's fast too, and she got almost all the lead-ins to the bonus rounds.
I remember like, ten questions into the round, I was like, omg, they are doing so bad. You could tell the guys were getting nervous too; they -- and the rest of us -- were so confident they were gonna go on to finals and win it all. Ned was getting so frustrated and at one point when they got the last bonus lead-in, he just threw his button thing on the ground. But seriously, that Brandon Yee kid is amazing. A lot of people called them cheaters, cuhs he would always press his button before the question was finished, and pause a second, and then answer, but I think that is totally legit. I mean, if you can think of the answer quickly enough, why not? Besides, they stop reading the question as soon as your buzzer lights up. But still, you could feel the shock go through the room when Brandon Yee's team won. We were just so stunned. This is probably the first time sophomores and a freshman have made it all the way to the finals. And imagine; he's gonna be around for the next three years too.
After school, Dad and I went to Dr. Kuo's cuhs I've put off getting my physical for swim for as long as I can, and I have to have it now lol. I really need to get a new doctor; I feel so stupid going to my pediatrician at 18, with all these little kids there and whatnot.
Later on at night, Mom and I went to Walmart. I had to pick up some lotion with aloe because my sunburns on my shins from Santa Cruz were starting to peel, and it was just nasty lol.
