14O.

Mom and I drove over to Carson Honda around 2:30 pm today. =D There was a lot of paperwork to fill out, and even more waiting to do, since our guy, Lorenzo, had other people to tend to. There was this nice Ukraine guy who also worked there who talked to us and kept us company called Kenny, but he said his real name was Kodruz (that's probably not how you spell it, but that's the spelling I visualized). He had a big mole on his left cheek lol.

That's Lorenzo, and that's my car! I drove it home, all by myself. (`: At one point while I was following behind Mom, she got past an intersection, but the light turned red on me, and then when it turned green again, I found her waiting for me on the curb with her emergency lights on loll.

Andy was like, "Wanna trade?"

My baby. ♥

I drove myself to work this morning, and I drove out from the opening on Crenshaw! :`) Parked on the north side of the parking lot, and there was a squirrel and I took a picture loool.

Jennifer Mera asked me to sub for her door shift from 11:30 - 3:00, and this is the easiest thing ever, cuhs you just sit there and check membership cards. (8 I brought my homework and just did that for three and a half hours lol.

... And after two hours of staring at my worksheet and constantly flipping through my textbook and notes, I FIGURED OUT ROTATIONAL INERTIA. :`))) THIS IS SUCH A PROUD DAY.

I came home and Mom told me Carson Honda met our asking price for the Honda Civic. I'm getting my car tomorrow! :`D ♥

Andy brought donuts home at night lol. ♥

We had our Hetch Hetchy Debate today; Tina looks so cute hahaha. She was supposed to be Gifford Pinchot. I wasn't quite as prepared for it as I would've liked to be; I didn't have my whole speech memorized, and I had to look down at my paper a few times. But I think the last debate kind of made me realize that it wasn't a huge deal. =P

Mom made changed my bed cover! :`) I've been bugging her about how I've had the same one for months and how sick I got looking at it hahah. I smelled it and it reminded me of Europe for some reason.

My driver's license came in the mail today! (`: Damn them for using my permit picture.

Andy wanted pizza after work, so we agreed to split the cost and buy two pizzas.

Tomatoes and sausages; I'm in heaven. :`) ♥

CSF's making us sell gummy bears and Rice Krispies again. -_-; And I'm taking all APs this year, which means pretty much everyone in all my classes is selling them too.

These are new. o: I really like them lol.

So Dad stopped by after school and dropped off two containers full of drunk chicken and asked me to taste them, cuhs I guess he used two different kinds of wine, and he wanted to know which one was better. They were both kind of light, but they were still good. After he left I was looking for the cooking wine we usually used for drunk chicken, and Mom said it was this bottle. And I looked at it and it's not even wine. What the hell is Superior Pickle Sauce? e_____e

It wasn't so much fun driving today as it was yesterday. When I pulled out of our driveway, one of mom's student's parents opened their car door without even looking and just missed hitting me. And then when I was around the corner from the Armstrong Theatre, some douche reversed his car out of his parking space so fast and without even looking and almost hit me there too.

It was kind of drizzling today at practice (which made it really hard to see anything driving home); Cindy had us sprinting on the blocks, and Sandi wanted to race. And she beat me in freestyle and tied in breaststroke. Which is devastating! I really need to get into shape. e____e

Jennifer, Clement, and Brian all have to take that survey-test thing hahaha.

I drove to school for the first time today (I took Andy's car)! :`) ... Granted Mom was sitting there beside me. She didn't trust me enough to drive by myself, so she went with me there and walked back. But then I drove back home by myself, and I was so excited! I couldn't stop smiling hahaha.

So we walked into first period, and there was this seriously huge huge trophy just sitting on one of the desks in the front row! Apparently Prisca, JenLeung, and Jasmine won first in the popsicle stick bridge competition (Bea looked pretty bitter hurhur)! They also got a $1000 cash prize which is awesome.

Jen found this cat birthday comic in the paper, and I thought Stover would get a kick out of it, (since she threw her cat Bacon a birthday party at Anton's urging) so I kept it and showed her 5th period. She laughed and asked to keep it hahah.

So that red fish that Mom put in the godforsaken tank died a few days ago. Even after she took it out and tried to save it. As I told her it would. So Mom went out and bought a new fish and put it in the small container lol. It's really pretty; there's purples in the red! Mom said she wanted to get a gold one but they were like $6 lol.

So apparently Amber's like ... a sort of mini-assistant coach or something now. Which is freaking ridiculous. I mean, what the hell, are you kidding me? Granted, she's only helping out the newbies, but still. She wasn't even that fast or good the one year she swam on the team.

We went to Tampopo for dinner tonight, cuhs I've been thinking about their BSC Roll ever since the last time we had it. (8 I read on Yahoo a while back that edamame are really good for your ... skin? I forget. I usually eat them mostly out of boredom, but I ate them with a purpose today! Hahaha. But yeah, sushi was great. (x

This is probably the least I've procrastinated, ever, lol. After work, I pretty much just did homework while watching Rush Hour 1 and Whose Line Is It Anyway. And then at night I finally watched The Sandlot with Mom; I've been waiting to watch this ever since I bought it, but I've been insanely busy lately! I love this movie, and I didn't even have to pry Mom's eyes open and force her to watch it hahah. We still ended up falling asleep towards the end though since it was so late.

So Felipe was gone today and the Kevin guy was subbing for him. I guess he's not as big of a douche as I'd assumed. Man, this is Gale all over again hahah. Anyhow, I saw Mrs. Stover and Anton there for lessons today! I remember she had mentioned earlier in the week that they'd be there for lessons; actually, she had asked if I'd be teaching on Friday and I said that I wouldn't, but that I'd be lifeguarding, and in retrospect, it's probably a good thing I wasn't teaching Anton, since I'd feel completely under pressure, teaching Stover's kid. Like, I'd probably get really anxious if he didn't get it right away, and be terrified that'd reflect on me and such and such lol.

Also, I accidentally called 911 today lol. This kid was looking for his mom, so I suggested we call her cell phone. Now for the pool phone, you have to dial 9 first before dialing the actual number, and then I pressed the 1 for the area code. And I really don't know what happened; maybe I pressed the wrong number or the next number just didn't go through and I ended up pressing the 1 again later, but somehow I ended up calling 911. And I just kept saying 'Hello?' confusedly, because the voice on the other end was a man's, and I was like ... this doesn't sound like anyone's mom lol. And actually, I think we called them twice LOL. Cuhs the first time I just hung up after hearing the man's voice, since I figured we had the wrong number, and I couldn't really make out what he was saying. The second time I heard him say "Hello? This is 911," and I was kind of like 'whoa shit!' Because I've never dialed 911 ever, for any reason, and I just kind of said lamely "Oh sorry wrong number." And I'm sure the guy on the other end was thinking 'Wth, how can you get the wrong number for 911' hahah whoops.

13O.

I GOT MY LICENSE. Today was completely different from the last time I took the test; I wasn't really excited at all, I was trying more to relax and forget I even had an appointment at 2:30. I didn't really tell anyone about it either unless they specifically asked about it. I think it was all more me trying not to psych myself out and then be crushed if I didn't pass.

I drove over to the DMV with Dad, and we actually got there quite a bit earlier than we had last time, which in retrospect, was probably a good sign, and there was hardly anyone in line. After watching for a while, I figured there were only three examiners, and I found the lady who failed me last time real fast (except she didn't look quite as intimidating this time). There were four cars ahead of me and she went with the first car, so I was really hoping she'd be back to take the girl in front of me; I wanted the Asian guy lol. When the lady got back, it was exactly as I'd hoped, and I figured she'd go to the car in front of me ... but there was this old guy in the lane next to us with a motorcycle, and she went and helped him instead. And they took a really long time. And the whole thing I kept thinking 'Oh shit oh shit, the first guy's gonna come back, take the girl in front of me, and then she's gonna finish with the motorcycle and come to me.'

And it actually happened kind of like that. The two other guys came back just as she finished, and they all stood together and talked for a minute, so I thought 'Okay, this could go any number of ways now.' And then the white/hispanic/whatever guy went to the girl in front of me, and I was like 'Asian guy Asian guy Asian guy!' ... And then the lady came to me and I was like 'Crap.' So I figured I might as well make the best of the situation; I tried talking a little, and I said "Oh hey, I think I had you last time too." And I can't remember exactly what she said, but apparently I can't have the same examiner twice (probably for fear of bias), and she switched with the white/hispanic/whatever guy! Holy shit!

Anyhow, the route we went through was essentially the same as the one Dad and I had been practicing the past few weeks, so I was pretty happy about that. During lunch, Tiffany had told me to wear dangling earrings so that every time I turned my head to check for traffic, they'd be able to hear it (to which I replied "LOL well I don't have bells on my earrings"), which I didn't do, but I was really focused on making my checking-around really noticeable and I didn't get marked off for that at all! I did get marked off a few times for not getting close enough to the curb, which is a really silly mistake on my part, since I never not do that when I practice, but I guess I was just really focused on swinging my head around.

When we finally got back to the parking lot and I parked, the guy didn't say anything and was just scribbling stuff down on the score sheet, so I was pretty terrified to look. When I finally stole a glance, I saw he had circled "passing" in the top right corner. And I couldn't quite grasp the concept until the paper was in my hands and I was staring at it. (`:

OH GOD. I WENT TO PRACTICE AND WE WERE DIVING, AND SANDI WANTED TO RACE AND SHE BEAT ME. ;O;

Omg, this would be so great. I had never even really considered San Diego as an actual possible choice of college, but this is really making me think. It would be amazing to get into this program; I'd be, like, set. But it's insanely competitive for one, I mean, only twelve people get accepted, max, each year! But also, I don't know if I'd be comfortable making such a decisive and binding decision about my future just like that. I wanted to go to college and explore my options and see what I liked, and only go with medicine as a fallback, so entering college solely for a medical program is terrifying. Even so, there's no harm in applying, right?

128.

So today was the Multicultural Assembly "auditions" (they weren't really auditions though; it was essentially just running the dances by Pioch). We had practiced a little in the cafeteria during 6th period, and it had gone pretty well.

... But when we actually performed for Pioch, the whole thing was a mess! I dunno if it was because we were dancing outside, since the wind definitely made it hard to work with the ribbons, but everyone messed up a little, and the timing was way off. We've got a lot of practicing to do.

Kent gave me a Labbit. xD ♥ I ran around and showed everyone.

... It has an asshole LOL.

I went to the plunge for tryouts today; there were so many people there! It's so bizarre; I don't even know half the team now. I'm so out of shape, it kills me! I'm swimming in the supposedly fast lane with Kyle, Eric (who's actually on this team this year), Ronnie, and Leo, and it makes it worse that Kyle and Ronnie have been practicing at Victoria throughout the year, and Eric and Leo were just fast to start. And then there's this other girl two lanes over who's faster than Sandi. And. Asdf, it's partly just me being frustrated I'm not the fastest anymore, but still, it's just all so different.

I was talking to Ken on Saturday about the UCLA Alumni Scholarship, and we realized that our essay prompts were different, and we were like wth. And then today I realized that we were doing two different scholarships. There are technically two UCLA Alumni Scholarships (wth, confusing right?), and I was doing the one meant for minorities that don't include Asians. -_- So then I spent the whole day just rewriting three essays, plus the Toyota scholarship essay on top of that. The prompts were considerably easier, so it wasn't as bad as it could've been, but still. I was originally gonna go to Jane's to hang out with everyone else, so I had to miss that. But maybe it was a good thing, cuhs after I finished the third essay, I got killer cramps, and was immobilized for the next five hours, two of which I was asleep, thank God. \:

So the plan was that we were all gonna go to Friday's with Dan, but we got there and there were so many people, and the receptionist guy said we'd have to wait an hour and a half. So we turned around and went elsewhere lol. We stopped by Black Angus, and it wasn't much better, then Mom suggested O'Nami, and that sounded really good to me, so I was really pushing for that. And I mean, it's a buffet. There's no way there'd be that long of a waiting period, if there's one at all. And I was right; we got there, and they seated us right away. (8

Mom bought three beta fish (I guess she really took a liking to them when I asked her to buy one for me for Enviro lol), and stuck them in some containers with those polished rocks she had in the bathroom lol. It looks really nice. 8D She got a red one, a blue one, and a black one. She eventually moved the red one to the big tank, despite my claims that the tank is infested with ... stuff. Whatever, every fish she's put in there for the past year has taken up some fungal disease, and I swear it's the tank. Or the water, at least, since Mom never completely removes all the water when she cleans the tank.

I was playing piano and I just realized I'm going to do swim. It's so weird, I've made up my mind since the end of last year's season that I was done with swimming, and then all of a sudden I realized that I couldn't just let it go quite yet.

So apparently Grace got a rose from some creep (see card) lol. I still think it's Kent Oguma, although no one else does; it sounds like him!

I didn't get any roses, cuhs Kent's lame. D: He really liked the CD though.

Ahhhh dammit! What are you doing here? You were supposed to go to Noey! ):

Felipe taught me how to play Quarters at work today lol. We were bored.

123.

We did presentations and stuff again in Physics today; the guys wanted me to take and post pictures of the posters as usual.

During Calc, Margy and I got each got a Call-To-Office, and so we went to Vuong's office, and she gave us this application for the Toyota scholarship, and said that they selected four people to give it to. =D Jasmine and Tatsuya were the other two.

I have so much to do today! e____e;

NHS's service fair was today; no guide dogs this year. ):

Me, Jane, and Prisca all had to help clean up after the service fair cuhs we didn't get organizations (along with all these other people who did anyway so yeah lol).

We had an aquatics meeting at the Y today; pretty typical, save the fact that the bosses started handing out way belated holiday giftcards and regular cards. We could pick from movie tickets, a Subway giftcard, and a Walmart giftcard, and I told Andy not to get the movie ticket, since we can get those for cheap at Costco anyway, so we both ended up getting a Subway card. ... Although I totally should've gotten something extra, since I'm sure I'm the only one who even gave the bosses anything for Christmas. xP

Around 9-ish, Andy and I went over to Grandma & Grandpa's to get our red envelopes; they gave me my birthday money along with the New Year's money. We were gonna get them on Sunday, but apparently Andy's gonna be gone or something, so we get them in advance lol. We also brought over that digital picture frame I've been setting up for Grandma. It's not quite done yet, since we wanted to add more pictures, but we just brought it over to show her, and she loved it. (:
