112.

Khang, John, and I went over to Frank's house around 1-ish to build our bridge; his house was really nice hahah. I forgot my camera so you get lame pictures of cell phone pictures. We ended up splitting up into two groups cuhs Khang had one idea and Frank wanted to do something else, so John worked with Khang, and I ended up working with Frank. We pretty much just made a lot of triangles lol. Khang and John's kind of fell apart as they were putting it together, and then they had to leave, so Frankand I ended up working by ourselves for the next 6 or so hours. xP

All those black things are clips.

It actually didn't turn out half bad, except the sides ended up being a bit uneven when we glued it all together. But still, it actually looks pretty legit. (:

Deja vu? I've been overrun with viruses! ;~~~; I got another one before I went over to Frank's and I thought I'd gotten rid of it, but then I got another one when I came home! D; Kent found an uninstall guide online and helped me get rid of it though. :`D

111.

So Tiffany texted us yesterday and asked if we wanted to watch To Save a Life today instead of February 13th like she previously said.

Jane wanted to apply for a job at the Korean-run boba place on the first floor, but the boss wasn't there so she didn't get to.

The movie was pretty good; it wasn't amazing or anything, but I think it was still enjoyable. But yeah idek, there were a lot of parts in the movie that didn't really "live up to" the plot that it set up. Like, for example, Jake writes down three names from Roger's myspace, but he only ends up "saving" one of them. ... So wth happened to the other two? Did they just like. Die or something? Idek.

Afterwards, we went over to Target cuhs Jen wanted earphones, Jane really wanted to go for some reason, and I didn't feel like going home yet lol.

Needless to say we had a lot of fun in their Valentines section hahah.

Jen told me to look manly but I think I just came off pissed lol.

Tiffany and I were gonna buy a pack of string cheese (at this point I realized that the string cheese I won from bingo was still sitting at the bottom of my backpack, going bad ;o;), but then we just. Didn't. And Tiffany bought an individual one.

After she dropped off Jane, Jen pulled up to the stop sign and was gonna dump me and Tiffany there (to which we were like "Wth it's 11pm!") since apparently she really doesn't like driving down my street, so then I said "Hey, I'll drive us down this street!" kind of as a joke, but Jen actually switched seats with me hahah. But then once I was in the driver's seat I couldn't get her emergency brake down. And Jen couldn't either from her side. And then finally we reached my house and when Jen got in the seat again, the emergency brake went down, just like that (Me: Wth, your car rejected me! ;o;)

11O.

Fred really saved my ass today. Mom had gone off to teach her lessons, and I was starting to organize my papers for the PTA Scholarship and read the requirements more closely when I discovered that I needed not one (the inclusion of only one reference form was really misleading) but two completed reference forms and recommendation letters. The letters part wasn't a problem; I still had multiple copies of the letters that Fred and Jaimie wrote me; the problem was the reference form, since I decided against just forging the whole thing.

My first thought was to contact Jaimie, since she was much less intimidating. I was thinking out my plan of action when I realized Jaimie wouldn't be working today or tomorrow or the next day, and I could hardly call her up and ask her to show up just for this. Plus, the scholarship had this big focus on volunteer work, and Jaimie's letter mentioned nothing about that. Fred was the only way to go.

Anyhow, long story short, I emailed him right away, and he responded really quickly too, telling me to call him on his cell phone. He was about to take off, but said he'd wait for me, so I called up Dad for a ride, and headed over right away. I felt really bad, since Fred just has that kind of ... somewhat naturally condescending or impatient front, even if he's not really like that. But yeah, he filled out everything for me (and forged a signature from Dr. Budoff, since his signature's on my recommendation letters even though Fred wrote them), and I apologized a lot for it being so short notice, and he was actually really nice about it. He just said that I really lucked out since he doesn't usually work on Fridays, but has been putting in more hours lately cuhs of the greater workload or something.

I hurried home and spent the next few hours up til when I had to leave for work grinding out an essay-styled response to the four questions on the scholarship. And then I had a kind of realization: the PTA wouldn't give the scholarship to me (and if they do, they shouldn't); they were gonna give it to someone who read the rules carefully and got their letters two weeks before and spent a month working on and perfecting their paper, not someone who procrastinated and lucked out with their recommendation letters on the last weekend. Just. I dunno, I really haven't been putting the kind of effort I should be for college and college-related matters.

1O9.

We got our crappy prizes from Stover today hahaha. I got two string cheeses, since I haven't had them in a while and ... I wanted some. And apparently I just don't get a third prize lol.

I thought we were gonna go over to Jasmyne's and do shots (since apparently that's like our finals tradition or something lol), but no one really brought it up. So I went home and was content with just being lazy and starting up FF12 again, when, about an hour into my gameplay, Tiffany calls me and tells me to go outside (since apparently they were right outside my house lol). And then they wanted me to go over to her house, so I finished up piano and biked over.

They were already like halfway through cooking everything by the time I got there (they made alfredo and carrot cake) so I was just like. Taking pictures of them since clearly I could make no better use of myself lol.

It was totally bad timing, since Andy and Mom had gotten me a bowl from Chipotle when I got home, so I wasn't even hungry, but I still tried the food they made since it smelled good. And it was good so I had more (which was pretty bad since we were supposed to go to Olive Garden for Dan's birthday tonight lol).

The cake finished baking a short while afterwards, and they just dumped the whole can of frosting on it LOL. It was really good though. (8 Then we just watched my Forest Gump dvd til about 6 or 7-ish.

... And then later in the evening, we went to Olive Garden as planned, and I ordered more alfredo hahaha. I was full after the soup though, and ended up just taking everything home.

Day one of finals; I got raped by physics (and don't seem to even care that I did), a 94% in calc (when I could've easily gotten 100%), and Hendricks forgot to make copies of the econ final and just gave us the benchmark for extra credit LOL.

We get early outs on finals, so we drove over to Umemura for lunch. =D

Afterwards, we hung out at Jen's and played more Little Big Planet loooool. Also, Jen showed me that Kingdom Hearts Alice in Wonderland level that I asked her to make, and it was actually pretty good! 8D She got frustrated at me cuhs apparently she actually based the level off the game, and I couldn't remember how to activate anything, but I mean come on! I played Kingdom Hearts in like, what, sixth grade?

We played Literary-Terms-Bingo in English today, and clearly with Stover's promises of "crappy prizes" compelling me, I got Bingo all three times we played LOL.

Frank, Katie, Katie, Ned, and I stuck around after school to work on the "fake test" Mas passed out to us today as a last ditch effort to study for the final lol. We pretty much lost momentum and called it quits around 4:30.

1O6.

We were returning Tess and checking out Heart of Darkness today, and Brett was taking out all his post-its, and he just had so many! It was hilarious, he'd flip through the book once and take out all the post-its, then he'd flip through it again and find infinitely more hahaha.

We mined Chips Ahoy cookies in Enviro lol.

Today was my driving test, and I spent practically the whole day asking people if I just pull up to the driveway right away or if I had to park and check in first, and I kept hearing different things, so for the record, you do have to go in and check in first, and then they send you out.

Anyhow, I got DQ`d. I probably should've sensed my imminent doom when I saw that woman walk out towards me with her white lab coat-like garment that made her look (and probably feel) more important than she actually was; she was the only female examiner there, and the only one dressed so ... uptight-ly. She was also extremely terse, which I was not expecting; I thought my person'd be more conversational (and easier to butter up or something, I dunno). Anyhow, she ended up failing me on two critical errors (which I really don't think were so critical): first of all, I was driving at 40 by Torrance High, which sucks, because I know the speed limit's 25 around high schools, I just completely did not realize we were actually passing by a school. The second, she called an intervention by examiner. Basically, we pulled into the neighborhood; there was an intersection that I assumed had 4-way stop signs, since there were two cars on the street perpendicular to me which had paused. The first car went, and then I started to go. But then the second car also started to go so I stopped; unfortunately the lady said "Stop," at the same time I hit the brakes. Also, she marked me off a lot for failing to check traffic, which I totally did!

I can't really be mad at her or call it unfair since I did make mistakes, but I dunno. If anything, I'll be a more careful driver because of this, but the acknowledgment still didn't stop me from crying my eyes out afterwards.

1O5.

Jen or someone called me and said we were practicing the Chinese ribbon dance at the library today, and I assumed we were practicing in the preschool room like we did last year (I was wrong), so I came armed with what was left of my Hot Cheetos and Sour Cream and Onion Lays that I bought yesterday, to save us the usual snack run. After biking over and realizing that either my wheels were losing air or I was severely out of shape, I found Jen and Jen in JenWa's car. Just. Sitting there. Or actually, JenWa was reading something not-Tess, which was mind blowing.

Also, I thought Kent was at the library studying, but apparently the place is closed on Sundays, and he was at the other North Torrance Library. D:

We started teaching Tiffany the dance (though it should be noted that it was more us figuring out and trying to remember the dance than actually teaching her), and we had this dilemma of who spins out right and who spins out left, and Jen found this pencil on the ground and was mapping it out lol.

Tiffany thought the ribbons looked really pretty, and really wanted to take pictures with them, so we did, and we probably spent more time posing than practicing haha. Jen and I got on the table, and we were gonna jump off it for a midair-type thing. Turns out it wasn't the smartest idea, cuhs when we landed, the impact was too great on our feet, and we both fell on our knees, except I actually banged up my knee on the cement and now I have this nasty bruise all over it. And Tiffany didn't even get the shot, since apparently she didn't know we were gonna jump. -.-;

... Okay, you know what, I thought we were going for some quietly dramatic type thing.

Later, Mom, Andy, Dan, and I all went to Tampopo for dinner, and in retrospect, it probably wasn't such a great idea to order five plates of sushi when I was full from all the chips, but during this lapse of sanity, I made a monumental discovery: the BSC Roll. It is glorious. And I will go back and have some more some day on an empty stomach when I can appreciate it in all its magnificence.

The boy dragged me off to Ralphs again.

I'm really craving Lunchables, but I didn't buy any for some odd reason. :\

1O3.

Ken, you are a douche. Just totally kill my self esteem like that.

Seniors had to report to the gym during SSR today so the Jostens guy could talk to us about ordering our caps and gowns. I dragged John over to the left side of the room to sit, and then I sat in the row behind him with my friends, and then moments later Henry sat down next to John lol.

Me: lolol the guy looks like George Lopez.

During gov, Hendricks was talking about policies or something, and getting people to accept them.

Hendricks: ... just ram it down their throats.
Frank: /starts laughing

And then we all stopped and stared at him hahahaha.

After sixth, a couple of us went to the library, some to wait for day three of musical tryouts and some ... just because, apparently. Anyhow, after I finished calc, Ryan and Natsha were playing Sequence, and then after their first game, me and Khang joined in, and we were playing teams, girls against guys, and damn. We just slaughtered them. Khang kept forgetting to draw his card hahaha.

Went to Benone's room to wait for the acting portion of tryouts (which I butchered, btw). We sat in a circle and played Signs, and then this one game that that one girl (on the right) taught us, in which we basically went around going "One fish in the water kerplunk, two fish two fish in the water in the water kerplunk kerplunk ..." and so on.

Anyhow, it took a long time for Benone to start the acting auditions, and when she did, she separated us into two groups, which split me and Tiffany, so I just stuck with Linda. We were supposed to choose a group from 'Nice Girls,' 'Mean Girls,' or 'Nerdy Girls' to read lines from, and Linda and I initially went over to 'Mean Girls,' since we figured that'd be the easiest one, but there were so many people over there that Linda convinced me to switch over to the nerds. Which was pretty stupid, since I have no idea how to act nerdy (Me: Ken! How do I act nerdy? Ken: Just be yourself! Me: That's what I figured but it's not working!) Oh the irony.

But yeah, I was watching Natsha act, and she was really good, so I figure she's in for sure. Ken was also really good (he said something about reaching in and finding his inner douchebag lol), plus he's a guy, so he's like guaranteed a spot too. =P

I came home and Mom had all these tulip bulbs on the kitchen table lol. I think she got them around Christmas, but the lady at the store told her she had to freeze them for 6 weeks or else they wouldn't grow properly. I can't wait to see these bloom; they were so pretty last time Mom got tulips! (8

1O2.

Day two of the musical auditions; we're singing today! I came in feeling really self-conscious. When I told Ken and Ned that I was singing "You Give Love A Bad Name," they kept going "... Really?" Like. In a bad way. And then they'd comment on how it's probably a bad song choice for me, and how those notes are hard to hit or something. And then today during 6th while I was in the library doing homework, Ned was talking to Khang, and I guess he mentioned to him that I was singing that song, and Khang pretty much said the same thing. And he even added "Why don't you just sing a girl's song?" to which I responded meekly that the others were too high, and that "You Give Love A Bad Name" was the only one that fell in my range.

I felt a lot better after we actually sang though. While we were waiting behind the curtain to go in and perform, Ms. Benone lined us up in kind of the same order we went in to dance yesterday, and took a picture of all of us. Ned was first, then me, then Ken, then Tiffany, then Aileen. It was such a rush to be up there singing; I wasn't nervous at all! Since the flyer said to prepare 30 seconds of a song, I had only been practicing up to the second stanza, since that was exactly 30 seconds. But when I got there, they didn't stop me, so I just went on into the chorus, which is like the highest part of the song. I had no idea how loudly I could sing until today lol. And I'm going to assume I didn't do too badly, since I didn't get the usual bashing afterwards from the guys lol.

... Oh wait actually I did. Nvm. |:

1O1.

It was raining so intensely today; I'm so worried about my plant drowning! ;o;

Day one of the musical auditions were today! It was more or less as I remembered it; they took us into the other room and Ms. Erin taught us a short dance routine to "Walking on Sunshine", then we went out and practiced for some time. It was actually pretty hard, though; I had so much trouble getting the moves and footwork down, and then it was even more frustrating since Ken and Ned and Kent had it down so fast. I just had to keep practicing again and again, and I actually got pretty tired from jumping around so much. I have new respect for Tiffany and all this dancing; it's pretty tiring!

Anyhow, I was in a group with Tiffany, Aileen, Ken, and Ned; when we went in, Ms. Benone had us in two lines, with two people in the front and three in the back, so I was in the middle in the back. We'd be performing twice. The first time was pretty horrid lol. I froze up and forgot some of the moves, and it was a mess. The second time, they took me by surprise when they told the second row to move to the front, but I actually ended up doing better under those circumstances. Anyhow, we'll see how it all works out. Singing auditions are tomorrow, and acting is on Friday. I'm so excited! (x

1OO.

I took a doubletake. They must've painted the lockers over the weekend or something, since I don't think my locker's ever been this clean! But yeah, the tag thing with my actual locker number is gone loll.

Apparently there was a tornado in Orange County yesterday, which is pretty intense; Hendricks showed us a clip on youtube. I thought it was kind of exciting though lol.

Ken dragged me over to the swim meeting at lunch; I wasn't really sure what to feel. There was this whole room full of people I've never even seen before, and goodness knows how many of them can actually swim. The only thin kind of motivating me to participate this year is the fact that, when we were walking down the hall, Taylor McGee was saying how both she and Chelsea wanted to be captains, and that if I left, it'd be so much easier for them. Ken's still kind of torn too about whether or not he's gonna swim, so I dunno. :\
