O6O.

Fred finished writing my letter so I was gonna go over and pick it up after school today.

I came home and Mom already got all the Starbucks gift cards (I was gonna give them to the people who wrote my letters of recommendation for me and for my teachers for a Christmas present).

When I went to get the letter, Fred had it in a manilla folder, and he told me to read it. And I was trying really hard not to let my disappointment show when I opened that folder and just looked at the letter, but I could feel my face fall. I was just saying to Tiffany the other day how the last time I got a letter from him a few years ago it was kind of short, and how I figured it would be longer this time since I gave him my brag sheet and he had more material to work with. But when I opened that envelope, the first thing I noticed was that it was still insanely short. The second thing I noticed was that it was the exact same letter that he wrote for me when I asked for one (for fun) in 8th grade. And when I tried to hint to him that it should be longer ("I think it should talk about some of my school accomplishments too, since you mainly just talked about my work here"), his response was "Well, go find out for sure."

Goddammit Fred. Just. Fail. And that was a $20 gift card by the way.

I thought about it on the way home, and in the end, I left Jaimie a message asking her to write me a letter, even though it's only a week til the deadline.

We were supposed to go have dinner at UCLA with Andy tonight (I suspect he had ulterior motives for inviting us to dinner, involving his odd eagerness to introduce us to Lauren), but that dumbass started arguing with Mom last night. And Mom holds grudges, but he completely thought their little spat was in the past, and apparently not! But yeah, so we didn't go, and then Dad ended up picking him up. He brought the Wii home.
